Activation is rapid and positive. The Raptor employs advanced circuit board technology with an extremely quiet, self-cleaning computer microswitch. The switch circuit is redundant with two contacts in each position to assure positive activation. The Softouch extended activation button is overmolded to provide improved contact.

The Raptor employs a high output thermally controlled LED. The light source has its own parabolic reflecting chamber. The resulting output is blindingly bright. It provides a room illuminating halo of light while projecting a penetrating central beam of incredible intensity.
